easyJet
Europe Based Discount Carrier
With bright orange livery and uniforms, easyJet is not the best choice whilst hungover. Many passengers probably are though, as several of the 100+ destinations read like a stag night wish list. EasyJet serves Prague, Riga and Tallinn in the old Eastern Bloc, as well as old favourites Ibiza and Tenerife.
Like other discount carriers, ‘hidden’ charges keep ticket prices low. There aren’t as many as with Ryanair but you still have to pay for checked baggage, itinerary changes etc. However, easyJet also offers lounge use (costs US$20-30, but drinks/snacks are complementary so stock up!), travel insurance and Speedy boarding. Beware though – if the aircraft is off-pier, you’ve just paid to be first on the bus!
On board, so many seats are packed in that an extra overwing exit had to be installed on the A319. You might not realise though, as some passengers have been swiping the safety cards to sell on eBay! Search!
