Tickets must be purchased by March 16 for travel from May 1 through August 29.

Eventhough, this sale isn’t valid for US to Europe travel, we still find it notable since it’s a “2 for 1″ sale. Are airlines starting to get desperate in these tough economic times?

We haven’t seen “2 for 1″ sales since Southwest Airlines frequently had them earlier this decade. Will more airlines have these in ’09 to fill planes? Time will tell.
