A modern thriving hub, Poland’s capital city successfully blends old and new. It’s packed with historic buildings and architectural memories of its past, but is now free from the communist regime. The main tourist attractions are on the left bank of the Vistula river; these include the beautiful Old Town Square and St. John’s Cathedral.

The Royal Castle dates back to the 14th century, but was badly damaged in World War 2. Several museums and memorials, such as the Jewish Historical Institute and Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, are dedicated to the tragic history of the city. Go!
