United Arab Emirates Overview

Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. It is known for its gold, in every shape and form, from the raw ingot to delicate and intricate jewelry. Shoppers can go crazy here. Whether they are looking for gold, clothing, electronics, leather goods, perfumes, textiles, or just plain entertainment, there are malls, small shops, and old-fashioned marketplaces. Tourists can find souvenirs of the UAE, such as sand art, date products, and palm leaf art. People come to the UAE from all over the world to watch sports events: world-class tennis, soccer, cricket, and even camel racing. A fun tourist attraction is the Dubai desert safari. It begins with a ride over the sand dunes, then includes entertainment and dinner in the evening.
