Estonia’s capital City, Tallinn, is on the north coast of Estonia and has long been an important trading port. The Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997 and has retained some fantastic examples of medieval characteristics. Winding cobblestone streets lead to ancient church buildings, including St. Olav’s, which used to be tallest church in medieval Europe, and St Nicholas’s, which has important works of art on display.
