Nairobi Overview

The largest city in Kenya, Nairobi became the capital in 1905, taking over from Mombasa. As city’s go, it’s very green, with numerous open spaces, parks and trees. The most well known of these is Uhuru Park, which borders the business district, and has hosted many political rallies and important speeches over the years. The arboretum has a stunning collection of East African flora and the National Park is the places to see animals such as lions and giraffes.
