Located in the Gulf of Izmir, the city of Izmir is Turkey’s third largest and has a long and interesting past.

Most cities pride themselves on having one castle, but Izmir is lucky enough to have three. Explore the tree-lined streets and you’re sure to spot the clock tower of Konak. It’s one of the most iconic symbols of the city and is found near the Kemeralti Market. It was built in 1901, stands 25 metres tall and was a gift from Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany.
