Fiji Airfares

The Republic of Fiji is made up of over 800 islands and smaller islets, some volcanic and others coral or limestone-based, in the South Pacific Ocean. Only about 100 of the islands are inhabited, with the three largest ones being Vanua Levu, Viti Levu and Taveuni.

The capital, Suva, located on Viti Levu, is the commercial hub of Fiji and the largest city in the South Pacific Islands. In Suva, the Fiji Museum is a good starting point for learning more about the history of the area – the Thurston Botanical Gardens are handily next door. For divers there are a number of interesting coral reefs located around the coast.

Some areas, such as Tavarua, are great for surfing, especially the famous Cloudbreak. Other highlights include exploring the forests and coastal walks and the Naihehe Sacred Caves. For the best weather conditions, visit during the dry season, between May and October.
