This predominately Muslim country borders Israel on one side, thus bridging Africa and the Middle East.

Cairo, the capital city, is rich with Pyramids, Sphinxes and other ruins from the ancient kingdom that thrived there from 1500-1300 BC. Remains and relics from that period can be viewed in the Egyptian Museum and even the British Museum in London. Certain exhibits, including King Tut, frequently tour museums around the world.

The city of Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BC, lies along the bright blue Mediterranean Sea. The Lighthouse of Alexandria on the island of Pharos, was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
