The old city walls, ranging in thickness from four to six metres, still stand and run for 2km around the city. Statues to the patron saint, Saint Blaise, can be witnessed around the city and the cathedral is named after him.

If you happen to be there in the summer, one of the largest cultural events is the Libertas Summer Music Festival. It’s existed for over 50 years and now consists of numerous music, theatre and dance line-ups, taking place indoors and outdoors.
