Maui Airfares

By Natasha Jervis: If swimming in waterfalls, lying on black, red, or white sandy beaches, and watching a gorgeous sunset from the top of a 10,000 foot volcano sounds good to you, then your next adventure awaits in Maui. Hang-ten dude! Maui is a surfer’s paradise, as well as home to some of the best scuba diving in the world. Check out Molokoni Island, where you can snorkel and see some of the most interesting marine life. Would you like a mai tai? Cocktails on the beach! What could be better than that! Take a scenic drive up to Haleakala National Park and see the view from the top of the Haleakala volcano. Don’t forget your camera! It is breath taking. Brrrrr.....dress in warm clothes when you head up this volcano. What do you get when you combine leis, coconuts, pineapples, a pig, and a hula dance? An old Lahaina Lua! This is where you will be able to enjoy a live performance of the historic hula dance, and eat some original Hawaiian cuisine, not to mention the all-you-can-drink service. Try the lava flow drink, it will charm your taste buds and cool you down. You will never see people shake their hips and their booty like they do in a hula dance. If you are trying to avoid mobs of tourists, the Lahaina Lua might not be the event for you. Maybe the Maui Ocean Center might be more of an interest. Are you wondering if manta rays eat humans? Well you can find out at the Maui Ocean Center. If history is your hobby, then visit Iao Valley State Park where many battles took place between Hawaiian kings. King Kamehameha reigned at the time of these battles and took over the Hawaiian islands including Maui in 1782. Don’t forget to hit the beach! Maui has many beautiful beaches and Airport Beach has been voted as one of the top beaches in Maui. Get your boogie board out! Go!

7 Day trip in Maui
My wife and I just came back from a 7 day trip in Maui. We managed to book a hotel room at the Renaissance Wailea which was located in a posh area and provided us with everything we needed. It was nice to have a warm welcome when we flew over and to feel taken care of during our stay. People are so laidback and easy going. We went to the old Lahaina Luau and enjoyed some Hawaiian cuisine. One day we decided to go snorkeling at Molokini and once we were in the water, we couldn’t believe our eyes. Gorgeous colored fish were swimming around us, and it felt like an underwater wonderland. You can rent snorkeling gear at Boss Frogs which is a local dive shop. We brought formal clothing and then found ourselves in t-shirts, bathing suits, and shorts for the whole vacation. It is super casual there, so keep your packing casual. Aloha!
