 By Natasha Jervis: After cod fish was discovered in a new area of Massachusetts in 1602, England’s Bartholomew Gosnold gave Cape Cods its name. Back in 1620, the Pilgrims came to Cape Cod before settling in Plymouth. Geography lovers will like to know that this city juts out father than any other US location on the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors flock to this area every summer to visit Nantucket Island and Martha’s Vineyard. For those of you that are thinking about wine tasting now, head to Tuscany instead! Martha’s Vineyard is a fantastic island that is full of architecture, galleries, and landscapes. Don’t forget your camera! Sail the seas, and take a romantic sunset cruise with Sail the Liberte, or educate the kids about marine life by taking a cruise with Ocean Quest. If you’re into scenic drives and rides, then take a scenic tour with Cape Cod Central Railroad. All aboard! Looking for a festival? If you’re there in mid-June you might be able to catch the Nantucket Film Festival or later you might dance a Celtic tune at the Cape Cod Celtic Festival. Looking for some jazz and good food?
