Budapest
By Rachel Newcombe: Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has evolved to become a thriving cosmopolitan city. It’s a key hub for tourists, for businesses in Central Europe and has also become a sought after location for international property investors. The city boasts various World Heritage Sites, such as the Buda Castle and Millennium Underground Railway.
There’s a lot to see and do in Budapest. The river Danube flows through the city and there are great walks along the riverbank. Or you could take a boat tour along it, which offers alternative views of the city. There are numerous museums to go to, including the Hungarian National Gallery, which houses artefacts and paintings dating back to the 11th century, and the Hungarian National History Museum, which is the largest museum of its kind in Hungary.
