Located beneath the Entoto Mountains, this large city has become surprisingly cosmopolitan. The Merkato outdoor market is one of the largest in the world. You can find almost anything for sale at the market, but gentle haggling and bargaining are the accepted ways of buying. There are many bars, restaurants and cafes scattered around the city and it would be rude not to consider trying the national drink of Ethiopia, or tej, which is brewed from honey. Those interested in museums will find various offerings, including the Ethiopian Ethnological Museum, the National Postal Museum and the National History Museum. Go!
